Our parent company Franchise Bancorp owns the Liv Canada Gift Group and was founded by E.K. Loyst, a former advertising executive, in 1968. Franchise Bancorp has 35 years of success with the buying power of 117 stores and over $60 million in combined network sales. They currently own the following companies: Living Lighting, Global Pet Foods and Liv Canada Gift Group. The first chain started by Loyst was Living Lighting, selling residential lamps and chandeliers. The gift store division was created in 1974, with one little test store in Hamilton, Ontario called "The Panhandler Shoppe". It specialized in kitchen gadgets. Today the gift store division has grown to over 60 stores and merchandise includes kitchen accessories, as well as hundreds of unique gift ideas and several exclusive brands. "Christmas Stuffins" by Cherison, the "Laurel" Collection by Seagull Pewter and a complete line of cottons named "Loon Lake Weaver" imported by Index. |
